Gastonia Minnie Medford Rhom, 94, of Gastonia, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was a native of Rutherford, NC and the daughter of the late William Yancy Medford and Nettie Loula Jane Bivins Medford. Funeral service will be 3 PM Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Leo Kuykendall officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the church prior to the service. Interment will be at Westview Gardens. Minnie retired from Eastco Hand Tools and was a member of Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Rhom, David Rhom and wife Judy of Gastonia, Frank Rhom and wife Jean of Tennessee, step-son, Steve Rhom and wife Carolyn of NC, daughter, Kathy Tidwell of Florida, sister, Ailene Southers of Harris, NC, fourteen Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Robert, Reid and Boyd Medford, step-son, Roger Rhom and daughter-in-law, Judy Rhom.
