Joseph David Kirby, 29, of Lakeview, OH passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, January 29, 2017 at his residence. Joseph was born September 4, 1987 in Dayton, OH, a son of Amy (Hugh) Gilbert of Lakeview, and Phillip (Lisa) Kirby of Fairview, TN. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Doris Kirby Adkins, and Frank Kirby. Joe is survived by his sons, Isaiah Joseph and Noah David Kirby, their mother, Shannon Kirby of Russells Point, three siblings, Joshua Kirby of Lakeview, Zachary Gilbert of Phoenix, AZ and Ashley (Daniel) Denham of Fairview, TN, maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Haught of Lakeview, paternal step-grandparents, Robert Adkins of Franklin, OH, and Thomas and Linda Zeese of Osceola, IN, a niece, Caroline and nephews, Parker, Geoffrey, Ethan and Christian. He was a 2006 graduate of Indian Lake High School. Joe was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He was kind hearted, and would help anyone in need. His greatest joy was spending time with his two boys, whom he loved dearly. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S Main St, Lakeview. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 1st from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
