Thomas H. Harders

Thomas Harders, passed at home on January 29, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer. Tom was born April 11, 1945 to Martin and Gail Harders. He graduated from East High School and later joined the Army Reserves at Camp Dodge. He worked at Meredith Corp. for 23 years. He loved to fish and watch anything sports. Tom is survived by his loving wife Barbara Weston; his brother Robert (Sandy) Harders; sister Donna (Harold) Harker; step children and step grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to Tom's doctors Laughren, Borromeo and Puri and Dr. Ben Collin's office and Unity Point Hospice of Iowa for their comfort in his final days. A mass was held in Tom's name on Wednesday, February 1st at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. It was his wish to be cremated with burial at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Cancer Center or Make A Wish Foundation or to any Veterans Charity of your choice. ARRANGEMENTS BY ILES ~ GRANDVIEW PARK CHAPEL.
