Billy Wayne Gumm

O B I T U A R Y Billy Wayne Gumm Mr. Billy Wayne Gumm of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Johnnie Bell Gumm and Lura Beatrice Bradshaw Gumm, was born on October 15, 1935 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill. He was 81 years, 2 months, and 30 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church. Mr. Gumm was a farmer, truck driver and a veteran having served in the United States Army and Army Reserve. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Marjorie Elois Squires Gumm of Greensburg having united in marriage on March 28, 1975. Other survivors include a daughter: Gayle Rogers of Columbia; four grandchildren and their spouses: Laura and Matthew Brummett of Columbia, Brian and Elizabeth Downey of Georgia, and Erin and Dave Eubank of Bowling Green; 10 great-grandchildren: Allie Brummett, Maggie Brumett, Sam Brummett all of Columbia, Dawson Eubank, Dylan Eubank, Olivia Eubank, Carson Eubank, Ava Eubank all of Bowling Green, Bryce Downey and Mary Carlin Downey both of Georgia; a twin sister: Rachel Jane Hughes of Louisville; a niece: Vickie Jo Chrysler of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends. .............................. Mr. Gumm chose cremation. There will be no formal funeral service or visitation. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Deepest condolences to the Gumm family. Billy was a very special person, and my Dad, Harry Walker, of Louisville, KY, thought of him as a brother. He will be missed.
