Rene Vicente LaSalle Obituary

Wrapped in love and draped in courage to cross over into Paradise, now to lie down and rest from this life of trouble and pain.  Until then...He calls us home too. Please keep the family in your prayers and think of them often. Rene Vicente LaSalle was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 17, 1946 and he passed on July 3, 2020. His father Ellis LaSalle and mother Lillian Watkins preceded him in death.

He leaves in God's care his wife Janet Baez-LaSalle and daughters Allison Shann McGehee, Kimberly Dionne McGehee, Antionette S. McGehee Givens, and Cassandra Lynn McGehee Amos. He leaves five grandchilren Antwan D. McDade, Kennedey D. Benjamin, Cortney D. Jack, Charie Amos, and Charmaine Amos. He also leaves eight great grand children.

His Story

Rene graduated from Fremont High School and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Political Science.  He then attended two years of law school. But his passion for basesball took over and he signed up for triple A minor leagues.  Which he played for several years. Rene was an avid baseball fan. Rene still pursued his love for the law by helping anyone and everyone that came to him for assistance. Rene was raised by his grandmother and grandfather who he loved deeply. They were the ones responsible for the loving and caring man that he was. He guided many people throughout his life. He was passionate about helping others in time of need.

Rene was extremely intelligent and used his knowledge to help others. In addition, he had a tendency to make you laugh through the most difficult times. He was genuine in everything he did.  Rene  had a heart of gold.

He met his wife Janet in 1986, they became friends and later married. Janet was the love of his life. It was evident in everything he did and witnessed by all. They had a very loving marriage until our Father in heaven called for him. We love Rene and he will be missed by all especially his wife Janet, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special cousin Linda, sister-in-law Arlene, family and friends. He is safely home, all the pain and grief is over. He is now at peace forever. He is safely home in heaven at last.
