Carlos Truett was born February 17, 1955 in Gray Hawk, KY and departed this life Thursday, October 29, 2015 at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, being 60 years of age. He was the son of the late Billy & Eva (Moore) Truett. Carlos is survived by his wife, Linda (Vickers) Truett; by one son, Robert Shawn Truett; by two grandchildren, Halley and Tristan Truett and one great granddaughter, McKenleigh Jones. He is also survived by four brothers, Eugene (Ruthie) Truett of McKee, Vinson Truett and Pat of Richmond, William (Brenda) Truett of Tyner and Kenneth Truett and companion Alene Ledford of McKee and by six sisters, Fran (Brack) Ooten of Tyner, Alice (Horace) Sexton of Annville, Maxie (Larry) Stivers of McKee, Loretta (Wendell) Maupin of Livingston, Kathy (Dolphus) Young of McKee and Donna (Roger) Parrett of McKee. Carlos was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church #1. Funeral service was held at 2:00PM Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Johnson and Bro. Bruce Hays officiating. Burial followed in the Truett Cemetery in Gray Hawk. Pallbearers were nephews, David Ooten, William, Steven, Shane & Eugene G. Truett, Mike Stivers, Brian Maupin, Dylan & Dustin Farmer.
