A celebration of life for Maureen “Mo” Mallory-Kline, 68, of Paradise, Texas will be officiated by Pastor Bill Hughes at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, with family and friends gathering at her home afterwards at 937 County Road 3673, Paradise, Texas 76073. She passed away Friday, July 10, 2020 in Decatur, Texas. Maureen entered this world on April 8, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. Welcoming her were her parents James T. and Noreen (Needham) Casteel, and her older brother Mike. The family moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma when she was around a year old. Before long she would have four younger sisters who looked up to her. She was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Through the eighth grade she attended SS Peter and Paul Catholic School. She continued her schooling at Bishop Kelley High School. She had lots of friends and was always fun to be around. Her hair and nails were always impeccably done; after all, she had plenty of sisters to practice on. She was a daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mo had many friends. One could even say that she never met a stranger, or if she did it wasn’t for long. She went to work for Champlin Petroleum in Tulsa; when they closed their Tulsa office she transferred to the Fort Worth area. Texas quickly became her new home state. She loved living here. On August 11, 1990 she met Chuck Kline. And what can you say? He became the love of her life. They married March 13, 1996 and lived in the Fort Worth area before moving to Paradise, Texas. She met many new friends here. She loved being in the country and watching the wildlife right outside her window. Maureen had many things she was passionate about: husband Chuck, her family, fishing, and crafts. The light of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spoke of them often and enjoyed seeing them whenever she could. As far as her love for fishing goes, she could tell the name of every lake within 200 miles of here and how many times she fished there. For the past couple of years Mo was completely reliant on Chuck for everything. No one could have stepped up to the plate like he did for her. Her family is extremely thankful that she had him in her life. Two years ago they moved into a brand new home that he had designed with her needs in mind. He had a hand in every aspect of the construction. Mo was so proud of him and her new home. These past few months he has been making their outdoor space a virtual floral oasis. She loved showing off his green thumb, and the family is grateful that she got to enjoy her new home as long as she did. She was well loved and will be sorely missed. It brings comfort to the family to know that she is now free from pain and has reunited with family who were there to welcome her to Heaven. Left behind to mourn her are her husband Chuck Kline; children Chris Abbott and Heather Rice; sisters Pat Harger and husband Bennie, Debbie Mendez and husband R.J., and Teresa Casteel; several nieces and nephews; and her closest friend of over 60 years, Terri Holsted; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
