<p>Bruce “Papa” Earl Petersen<br /> November 3rd, 1951 - July 2nd, 2020<br /> Once upon a time there was a storyteller named Bruce "Papa" E. Petersen. Born November 3rd, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Russel and Lily Peterson. -The creators of a legend. Papa was a dedicated family man. His greatest treasures in life were his two daughters, who blessed him with his precious little "angels" (his grandchildren). Most would describe him as cheerful and unique. He had a wicked sense of humor and a profound perspective on life.<br /> His heart was full of love to give and he had an impact on the lives of many, which includes over 20 years of service working with the Utah Food Bank. We would like to share a special thanks to them. <br /> Papa left this world far too soon. But more fulfilled than he ever dreamed. If you had the opportunity to meet him you would know that he had many stories to tell. He knew how to warm your heart with kindness and your belly with a bowl of his world famous spanish rice. <br /> Please join us for a celebration of life on the 16th of July, 2020 at Murray Park (296 E. Murray Park Ave.Pavillion #4) from 5-9 PM. Please be respectful of current restrictions. <br /> Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Russel and Lily Petersen(Grandma and Grandpa Lily) and brother Sonny.<br /> He is survived by his two sisters Jeannette and Rusty, his children Laura(Mitch) and Kimberly, his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.<br /> Until we meet again,<br /> We love and miss you Papa!!</p> <p>Private family funeral services have been held.</p> <p>Online condolences and memories may be shared at daltonhoopes.com</p>November 3, 1951 - July 2, 202011/03/195107/02/2020
