Esther M Shelton

Esther M Shelton, 80, of Goose Creek SC, entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2020. Born on August 13, 1939 in Socastee SC, Esther was a daughter of the late John Stafford Lee and Mary Lee. Esther married the late T/Sgt Wesley J. Shelton (retired) on December 24, 1959. Esther spent many years as a homemaker and volunteer at various organizations. She enjoyed working outside the home with her husband at Walmart. Esther also enjoyed reading, crocheting afghans and dolls, gardening and her cats. Esther is survived by her sons Jerry (Debbie) Shelton of Goose Creek SC, Jimmie (Yvonne) Shelton of Charleston SC, daughter Theresa DuMont of Mount Pleasant SC, daughter-in-law (Johnny) Patricia Shelton of Goose Creek SC, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, as well her sisters Mrs. Susie Ward of Socastee SC and Mary (Marty) LaBine of Three Oaks Mi. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Wesley J. Shelton, her son Johnny Joe Shelton and her brother Wilson (Frances) Lee. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7th at 9 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Chapel Goose Creek. The service will be held on Tuesday, July 7th at 10 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Chapel Goose Creek. The burial will be held at 1 PM at Beaufort National Cemetery.
