Jolonda Kaye Thomas, 63, of Springfield, Missouri, passed from this life on July 2, 2020, in Springfield. She was born August 27, 1956, in Corydon, Indiana, to John Boone and Phyllis Chitwood. Jolonda was raised in Indiana and attended Corydon High School. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother. Jolonda enjoyed flea marketing, loving on her grandkids, reading, watching westerns, working puzzle books, and the Dollar Tree. Jolonda was disabled and a former resident of Magnolia Square and The Gardens. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, and her longtime partner, Edward Lee Manier. Jolonda is survived by her three daughters, Misty Boone, Andrea “Nikki” Boone, and Juanita “Kaye” Boone; two grandchildren, Khylan and Khamiyah; her mother, stepfather, a sister, Jan; and a brother, Casey. A Celebration of Life honoring Jolonda will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2020, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn St., in Springfield. Her care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory.
