Alexis Kirsten Anderson McMinnville, Oregon Obituary

Alexis Kirsten Anderson

Alexis passed away Thursday November 12 in a tragic car accident. She was born on August 17, 1991 in McMinnville Oregon, to parents Rick and Michelle Anderson of Newberg Oregon. She was their only child. Alexis grew up in Newberg and was a true Oregonian. She loved the rain and cool weather, animals of all kinds and being outdoors. She loved pick-up trucks, jeeps, four wheeling and camping in the Trask Mountain area. Alexis had a huge heart and passion for helping anyone or any animal in need. She once rescued a fawn found abandoned in the Trask and drove it into a vet in McMinnville then drove back to camp in the Trask, all in the middle of the night. She knew those logging roads as well as the loggers. A few years ago on Thanksgiving she skipped family festivities to stay up all night with a friend in order to prevent her from committing suicide. If you called upon her, she would be there, without question, and would give her all to help. Even if you didn't ask but she saw you being wronged, she took immediate action. She was a protector. Alexis excelled in all of her work endeavors, her work ethic was incredible. Alexis is survived by her mother, Michelle Dunn, her father Rick Anderson and her fianc Cory Rogers, and will be missed by all. If you knew Alexis you are invited to a memorial celebration of Alexis' life, Thursday at 3:00 PM Nov. 19th at The Church On The Hill 700 SW Hill Road McMinnville, Oregon. If you have a photo of Alexis or you and Alexis, the family would like to create a collage to share with everyone present so if you have a photo of your experiences with Alexis, please bring them to the church to be added to the photo board in the foyer. There will be an informal reception in the church foyer following the celebration. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the See Ya Later Foundation.
