PITTSFIELD-Jamie “Turtle” Marie Hinton, 43, died on July 2, 2020, at her home in Pittsfield. She was born on July 21, 1976, in Waterville, Maine, the daughter of James Hinton and Sharon (Walker) Hinton. She graduated from Maine Central Institute with the class of 1994 and worked as a personal care attendant in local homes. Jamie was full of life. She liked having a good time, enjoyed BBQ’s, campfires, reading, and listening to her favorite music… always turning it up loud! She loved her kids and enjoyed spending time with all of her family. Her therapy dog, Lexi, was her constant companion and her special cousin, Jack Reed, was her dear friend and roomie. Her niece, Taylor, remembers special times with her aunt, laughing and watching horror movies together. Turtle will be forever missed and remembered. She is survived by her children: Korrie Leighton and boyfriend, Donnavon Doughty and Shawn “Bubba” LaCasse; mom, Sharon Hinton of Pittsfield; her brothers: John Hinton and companion Karen Belmain and Jason Hinton and companion Kathy Buxton, all of Pittsfield; grandfather, Ronald Walker of Pittsfield; aunts: Ronda Walker and Nikki Walker; uncle, Charlie Hall; nieces and nephew, Taylor, Zach, and Alana; cousins: Jack Reed, Christopher Bacon, Jennifer Willey, Melissa Bacon, Ashlyn Hall, Eric Hall, and Joshua Sigston; and many friends.
