Gerald E. Rusk, "Jerry", age 81 years, died July 2 at Inspira Hospital, Mullica Hill, NJ. Born in Stockwell, IN, he had lived in Pitman for 52 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1956-59 on the USS Douglas H. Fox DD779. He was employed as a Lab Technician for E.I. Dupont Chamberworks. At the age of 12, he dedicated his life to the Lord, and was a long-time member of the Calvary Hill Church where he was an usher. He spent over 33 years at the Cherrystone Campground in Cheriton, VA and attended the Full Gospel Church where he was the Choir Leader. Along with camping, he loved his family, fishing and basketball. He was an avid follower of the NASA program and OSI-REX. Jerry also enjoyed writing poetry. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Arlene M. (nee Riggs), children; Alan (Gayle), Karen (Kenneth) Lightfoot, and Steve Rusk, grandchildren; Tyler (Victoria) Rusk, Troy (Sonia Vanessa) Lightfoot, Michael and Jessica Caraluzzo. You are invited to join us in celebration of Jerry's homecoming on Friday, July 10th from 10 – 11AM at Calvary Hill Church, 535 Mullica Hill Rd, Glassboro, NJ 08028. Funeral service at 11AM.
