William Henry Baker Sr., age 79, of Brumley, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at his home in Brumley. William was born December 9, 1940 in Columbia, Missouri, the son of Speed and Dolly (Chick) Baker. On September 21, 1963, William was united in marriage to Mary Rita Campbell in Columbia, Missouri. They shared 56 years together at the time of his passing. William’s most treasured time was spent with his family. He enjoyed being outside working on the farm and hunting. He also liked to go camping and to bar-b-que with family and friends. William is survived by his beloved wife Mary Rita Baker of the home; children William Baker Jr. and wife Rhonda of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Steven Baker and wife Wendi of Kaiser, Missouri, Teresa Baker of Matthews, Missouri, and Deborah Lewis and husband David of Brumley, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Genie Baker, Bonnie Wise, and Rosemary Dews all of Columbia, Missouri. William was preceded in death by his parents Speed and Dolly Baker; brothers Speed Baker Jr. and Raymond Baker; and sisters Dorothy Crowley, Wilma Elder, Laura Davis, Viloet Polson, and Kathleen Baker. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, July 6, 2020 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.
