Donald Lee Wyatt Sr.

<p>Donald Lee Wyatt Sr. 84, of St. Louis, formerly of Des Arc, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020, at his residence. He was born in St. Louis, July 23, 1935, to parents James and Leona (Fleer) Wyatt.</p> <p>Donald was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He grew up in Annapolis and attended school there. He worked as a lineman for Western Union several years before entering in the United States Army. After returning home from the service, he worked for Alumax as a dock worker for thirty-seven years before moving back to the Iron county area. He has lived in Des Arc for the past twenty years. Don looked forward to planting his garden every year. He enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Russell Wyatt; his brothers, Walter and Loyle Wyatt; and his sister Barbara Carter.</p> <p>Donald is survived by his children, Donald Wyatt Jr. and wife Rebecca of St. Louis, Paula Niemann and husband Lee of Affton; five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Dryer of Festus. Donald will&nbsp;be greatly missed by his family and friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Visitation was&nbsp;held from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm,&nbsp;Tuesday, July 7, 2020,&nbsp;at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service followed&nbsp;at&nbsp;1:00 pm, also at Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Donald Wyatt Jr, Logan Wyatt, Kenny Patterson, Alex Ruegg, David Davis and Richard Sanders served as pallbearers. Burial followed at Annapolis Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Army and VFW post 281 of Poplar Bluff.&nbsp;Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com</p>
