Robert "Bob" Carter 83, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Thursday, July 2, at his residence. He was born February 21, 1937, in Piedmont.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He married Jo Ann Hixson on June 2, 1956. He was a superintendent at General Motors until he retired. Bob was manager of Piedmont Canyon Club. In 2019, the Canyon Club started the Robert Carter Golf Tournament in honor of Bob’s many years of dedicated service to the Club. Bob was an avid deer and turkey hunter. He traveled many years with his sons to Colorado to hunt. He helped set up the original Piedmont onion ring factory, he was a member of Piedmont Masonic Lodge 526 AF and AM. Bob was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Piedmont.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Richard, Norman, and Everett Carter; his sisters: Joyce Bell, Betty Jo Carter, Jenny Bartch, and Donna Fisher.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, his sons: Robert Carter and wife Cindy of Wentzville, Jody Carter of Oklahoma City; grandchildren: Angela Carter, Brittany Carter; one great-grandchild: Carter Miller; brother, George Carter and wife Kay of House Springs. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service was at 10:30 am, Monday, July 6, 2020, at Masonic Cemetery. Pastor Tadd Kruithoff ministered to the family. Burial followed grave service. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
