Grace Norrie (Ewing) Duffney
65, of Halifax, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 in the QEII HealthSciences Center, Halifax. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Vera (Stone) Ewing.
Survived by son, Jeff (Shellie) Brine, Upper Hammonds Plains; daughter, Sandra Brine, Victoria, B.C.; grandchildren, Mateya, Courtney and Sabrina; great grandchildren, Ava and Lincoln; brothers, Robert (Marie), Maitland; Donnie, Simms Settlement; David (Jeanette), Sackville; Douglas (Roxanne), Brighton, Ont.; Steve (Suzanne), Chester; Hilliard (Tammy), Middleton; sisters, Margaret Covey, Ottawa; Jean (Wilfred) Morash, Simms Settlement; estranged husband Clifton (Joe) Duffney, Newfoundland. She was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Walter, Gordie, Arthur; sisters,
Lorraine, Betty and niece, Roberta.
As a native Bluenoser, Grace spent much of her life in Lunenburg followed by a number of years living in Newfoundland before finally returning home to Halifax where she spent her final years.
Grace was a wild card. She was full of love, had a contagious laugh, and spunky attitude. She enjoyed playing cards, going to bingo, thrift shopping, baking and spending time with family and friends.
She will be dearly missed.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Grace's name to Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
