Alfred Nordahl Obituary

Alfred Henry Nordahl age 90 years of Admiral, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully with family at his side on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre. He was born at Admiral on January 6, 1930. Alfred was born a farmer and farmed his whole life. He enjoyed the land, grain farming and raising cattle and sheep. He was an animal lover and treated his animals like they were his pets. Alfred’s family sold cream to town and he would deliver food and cream for his family to neighbours when they were in need. Alfred had great creativity for fixing things and a strong work ethic. He enjoyed attending community events. He was a big supporter of Admiral 4H and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Admiral. He enjoyed square dancing, music, playing cards and especially playing cribbage. Auction sales were one of his favourite pastimes. He was predeceased by his father Ole in 1932 and his mother Torgunn (Thelma) in 1979. Alfred is survived by daughter Norma Beauchamp (Julien) of Admiral and grandsons Gregory and Jordan; daughter Rosella Hanson (Ken) of Saskatoon; sister Annie O. Ruttle of Saskatoon; niece LeeAnne Warrener Clarke (John) of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and great niece Marla (John Olaf) and family and great nephew Jamie (Jody) and family; niece Rhonda Warrener of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and great nephews Robert “Bobby” (Julie) and family, Brett (Juliette) and Ryan (Stephanie) and family. A private funeral service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church in Shaunavon on Friday, July 3, 2020 with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. A public interment service will take place at Admiral Cemetery at Admiral at 3:45 p.m. Pallbearers are Jordan Beauchamp, Gregory Beauchamp, Julien Beauchamp, Ken Hanson, Frank Neufeld and Matthew Perron.
