Willie Joiner Hall, 97, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015. She was born October 8, 1918 in Hartford, Alabama and was raised in Holmes County, Florida. She attended Florida State College for Women (FSU) and later graduated from the University of the Philippines. Willie was a passionate elementary school teacher influencing the lives of countless children for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, sports and playing her favorite Rook card game with family till all hours of the night. Willie was preceded in death by her husband Roland Newton Hall; her parents, John and Corine Joiner; two sisters, Janice Corbitt and Hassie Stewart; two brothers, John A. Joiner and Joe Holman. She is survived by daughter Dian Hall; son Roland G. Hall (Melinda); brother, Jim Joiner (Betty); sister, Sue Nix (Al); her four grandchildren Rachel Hall, Dante Hall, Nick Hall, Brian Hall and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Lynn Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Rescue Mission in memory of Willie Hall.
