<div>Taylorsville - . <p><em><strong>Celebrating the life of Mrs. Glenda Faye (McClinton) Tate:</strong></em></p> <p><em><strong>Glenda Faye (McClinton) Tate</strong></em>, lovingly known as &quot;Linda&quot;, was the daughter of the late Bessie Mae Patterson of Waco, North Carolina and the late Kelley Montgomery of Blacksburg,&nbsp; South Carolina.&nbsp; She was born the 9th child out of nine children, on April 17, 1952 in Waco, North Carolina.</p> <p>She is also preceded in death by her sisters Darlene Fears (Cleveland, Ohio), Francis Tate and Essie Patterson&nbsp; of Shelby, North Carolina.</p> <p>Glenda attended school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and later moved back to Shelby, North Carolina and attended Shelby High School.<br /> She later married Lloyd Ivey Tate, Sr.&nbsp; and became a homemaker for their nine children. Mrs. Tate was married for 52 years to Mr.Tate.</p> <p>During this union they created nine children. Anna Camp (Travis), Lanell Tate, Lisa Filali-adib (Nabil), Lloyd Ivey Tate Jr.(Elenice), Tracy Littlejohn&nbsp;(John), April Osborne (Martin), Timothy Tate,Shawn Tate (Renee), and Charles Tate (Samantha).</p> <p>She also leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.</p> <p>Mrs.Tate leaves to cherish fond memories two sisters Louise Montgomery of Philadelphia, PA, Bettyanne Hogue of Cleveland, Ohio, two brothers Bobby Montgomery and Jessie McClinton of Shelby, NC. A host of nieces, nephews,&nbsp; and cousins, with&nbsp; two special cousins - Maryann Simms and Judy Hartgrove.</p> <p>Funeral Services will be at 11:30 am Saturday July 4, 2020, at Washington Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, North Carolina. Visitation 11am- 11:30am Services will be conducted by Pastor Melvin Clark. Burial will be at Washington Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.</p> </div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div>
