Robert E. Alexander Sr .92,of Fort Wayne died Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital.

Robert was born in Marion, Indiana on June 23, 1928, son of the late Ray Benjamin Alexander and Dorcas A. Curtis. He served in the United States Army Air Corps as a mechanic from 1946-1949. After release from the Air Force he served in the Army National Guard until 1957. Robert was employed as a Forman for Bomar Airplane Parts for 37 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Anthony Wayne 1st Church of God in Ft. Wayne. Robert enjoyed playing base in the band, fishing, golfing and bowling.

Robert is survived by four children; Karen (James) Carpenter, Columbia City, Teresa (Michael) McDonald, and Robert Alexander Jr. both of Ft. Wayne, and Michael (Julie) Alexander, Jacksonville, FL, five grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; brother William Alexander, Reading, MI.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean (Dockery) Alexander in 2012, sisters, Alma Johnson and Dorothy Gilbert, brother, Ray Alexander.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. Graveside Service will be Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11 AM at Park Cemetery, Fairmount with Pastor George Dockery officiating.
