Timothy O'Donohue Obituary

Timothy “Tim” William O’Donohue, age 54, passed away on June 29th 2020 in Kewanee, Il at his home surrounded by loved ones. Tim was born in Chicago to William and Jean (Davis) O’Donohue. Tim married the love of his life, Bonnie O’Donohue, on Jaunuary 3rd 1997. Tim is survived by his wife, Bonnie O’Donohue; six children, Maichen (Hootie) O’Donohue, Timothy O’Donohue, Nicholas O’Donohue, Patrick O’Donohue, Kelly O’Donohue, Madalyne O’Donohue; one grandson, Kai O’Donohue; mother, Jean Davis; step mother, Micki O’Donohue; four sisters, Chris Nagel, Rhonda (Bill) Dowell, Deidre O’Donohue, Shelley Bishop; two brothers, Morgan O’Donohue, Jack (Joey) O’Donohue; many counsins, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and loving friends. Tim was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, dear father, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Tim always made everyone feel welcomed and treated them like they were part of the family. He loved his wife unconditionally and was so proud of all his children. He was a hard-working man and did whatever he had to do to provide for his wife and kids. He was also there how to remind his kids “the right way to do things”. He loved making his grandson laugh by singing their tune called “it’s grandpa time”. Tim was a silly guy and could regularly make you laugh, whether by cracking a joke (appropriate or not) or by giving his famous “wet willies”. His laugh was contagious, and you always knew when Tim showed up to the party by the sound of his voice. Tim made friends with everyone wherever he went. Tim lived his best life by going shooting with his boys, looking out for his daughters and taking his wife out for special occasions. Tim’s happy place was fishing, whether on the canal or Lake Michigan, as long as there was a cold one in his hands. Tim loved every concert he went to including Black Sabbath, ACDC, and Rush, just to name a few. He loved tinkering with his lawn mower and coming up with ways to “reinvent” the mower by strapping a cooler to the back and taking a ride around town. Tim loved giving hugs and was “life of the party”. He will be missed by many. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorials may be made to Bonnie O’Donohue and can be sent to Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, 219 E. Second St, Kewanee, IL 61443. Please leave an online condolence for Tim’s family at www.schuenemantumblesonfuneralhome.com. “It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right. I hope you have the time of your life”.
