Muriel Elizabeth Redolphy Obituary

Muriel Elizabeth (Swenson) Redolphy (96) of Mesa, Arizona passed peacefully into Heaven on June 27, 2020 at Benefis Teton Medical Center Extended Care Unit in Choteau, MT.

 

Muriel was born in Louisburg, Minnesota and raised in Montevideo Minnesota. She went to Montevideo High School where she met her first husband, Irving (Babe) Swenson. They were married on July 20, 1941, and were married for 41 happy years. Muriel had three children, Deborah (Swenson) Ylinen of Henderson, Nevada, Sally (Swenson) Haas of Choteau, Montana, and Robert Swenson of Grand View, Idaho. In her early years, Muriel was a small business manager of a Green Stamp Redemption Store in Montevideo for ten years.  The family then moved to Bremerton, Washington where she worked for Brown’s Music Store until her retirement.

 

She enjoyed all sports especially watching her kids and grandkids participate and going to baseball games and golf tournaments.  When she could not attend in person, she enjoyed watching on television. She enjoyed golfing and playing cards and dominos with family and friends. She spent a great deal of time and effort quilting hand sewn quilts. These quilts were made with love and given to the Children’s Receiving Home. 

 

After Babe’s passing in 1982, she married Richard Redolphy in 1989.  They were together for twelve years continuing to live in Mesa, AZ until his passing in 2001.

 

In 2015, Muriel moved to Choteau, Montana from her long time residence of Mesa, Arizona to be closer to her family. Muriel is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Mikelson, mother, Mabel Linquist, first husband Irving Swenson, second husband, Richard Redolphy, brother Roger and Gordon Clark, her companion for many years.  Muriel is survived by her three children, Deborah, Sally and Robert, sister, Delores Angrimson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

Cremation has taken place with a private family service and internment in Bremerton, Washington. Memorials can be sent to the Choteau Volleyball Club, c/o Ann Funk, P.O. Box 984, Choteau, Montana 59422.
