Marga Richter Skelly

<p>Marga Richter Skelly, 93, of Barnegat, NJ passed peacefully at home on June 25, 2020. Born in Wisconsin and raised in Minnesota, she received bachelor&#39;s and master&#39;s degrees in Composition from the Juilliard School of Music in New York and went on to a long and successful career as a composer, performed by orchestras and soloists throughout the US and Europe. She was married to Alan Skelly from 1953 until his death in 1988. She lived in Huntington, NY from 1958 until moving to Barnegat in March of this year. She is survived by her son Michael Skelly and daughter Maureen Raj, grandchildren Matthew Raj, Joshua Raj, Stephanie Raj, and Kevin Skelly, and four great-grandchildren.&nbsp;</p> <p>Services private under the direction of Barnegat Funeral Home. I was friends with Marga for 60 yrs. I am in awe of her music and was always charmed by her droll sense of humor. A renaissance woman who touched so many and left so much of herself with us.
