Jonathan Jay Carter, age 35 of Holbrook, passed away on June 26, 2020 after short battle with cancer.  He was born in Cambridge on March 17, 1985 to Steven and Gail (Jones) Carter.  Jonathan attended Cambridge Schools.

He enjoyed fishing and playing video games.  Jonathan was employed by several local contractors, doing roofing and construction work. Jonathon liked to spend time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jiggs and Patricia Carter and Harley and Marge Jones; uncles: Martin Jones, Roger Carter and Wayne Carter.

Jonathan is survived by his parents: Steven and Gail Carter of Holbrook; sister, Stephanie Carter of Lincoln, Nebraska; two brothers: Jesse  (Alisha) of Wahoo, Nebraska and Justin (Jessica Duran) of Holbrook; many nieces and nephews; aunts: Barb (Steve) Nayler of Cozad and Suzy Carter of Kearney; uncle, Nick Carter of Kansas City, Kansas.
