Delbert (Ed) Commeans, age 73 passed away peacefully Thursday, June 25,2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 27, 1946 to Leonard Otto Commeans and Virginia M. (Herbert) Commeans. He is preceded in death by his Parents; Leonard and Virginia Commeans, Brothers; Herbert and Robert Commeans,  and Grandson; Cody Joe Edward Anderson.  He is survived by Daughter; Angela Anderson (Kevin) Commeans; Son: Delbert (Edd) Commeans Jr., Sister; Connie Sue Hay; Grandchildren: Tyler (Tara) Adkins, Cory Commeans, Courtney Commeans, Krystal Fraze, Tiffany Lynn Charles (Tyler), Kevin Michael Anderson, Great- Grandchildren; Landon, Caiden, Callie, Corbin and Connor. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and extended family members. Brenda Sowards Commeans Edwards, former Wife and Friend. Special Friend and Navy Comrade;  William Herbert. Special furry Friends; Stormy Rose, Mac, Sweat Pea, and Ruby. Ed was a 7 year Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War and serving on the USS Long Beach. He had the wonderful experience of traveling the world. He enjoyed playing the lottery, fishing, gambling, horseraces and cooking. He was an Ohio State Buckeye fan that enjoyed spending time with his family. He appreciated various types of music from County to Reggae.  He will be greatly missed by his family. His family would like to Thank Aultman Alliance Hospice for the compassionate care provided . Calling hours will take place Tuesday June 30th at Dean's Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. Funeral Service at 8pm with Pastor Keith Frederick officiating. A Graveside service will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on July 7, 2020 prior to internment at 1pm.
