Ernesto "Ernie" Sanchez Lano, 58, passed away on January 14, 2017.
Ernie was born in Tarlac, Philippines. He was a retired Patient Technician at Chesapeake Regional Hospital and a retiree of the City of Chesapeake. He loved music, photography, and drawing. He was a "one-man band" who sang to everyone, a man of God, hospitable and friendly. He is loved and will be missed dearly.
Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 30 years, Amy Lano; daughter Heidi Lano; mother Marina Lano; siblings: Alfredo Lano, Jr., and wife Irene, Estrella Anden and husband Arthur, Eduardo Lano and wife Priscila, Charline Laigo and husband Norberto, and Edgardo Lano and wife Lien; thirteen nieces and nephews; and five great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Lano, Sr.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m and Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at Chesapeake First Church of the Nazarene, 1134 Cedar Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23322.
