Stanley Delanor Wynne was born July 15, 1942 in Harlem Hospital New York City to James Wynne Sr.(deceased) and Daisy Harris Wynne(deceased). He died on June 8, 2020 at 9pm at Concourse Rehab Center at the age of 77. He was the youngest of six children, Elizabeth, Katherine(deceased), James, Wallace (deceased) and Sonja. He was raised in Harlem. He was baptized at Greater Calvary Baptist Church. As a young boy he delivered newspapers. Stanley loved working with his hands. He would take things apart and put them back together (like a radio). He also could draw just about anything. He was a member of the Harlem Boys Club, YMCA, and CYO. He loved basketball, baseball, and was a excellent swimmer. He always looked forward for summer vacations to go visit our family in Virginia. As an adult he loved riding his bike, taking great care of his cars, and playing chess with his friends. He like to cook and was great at it. He graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School in Bronx, NY. He attended Bronx Community College for a year and a half. Later he started working as a helper for a tractor trailer delivery service in Brooklyn, NY. While working for them he took the test for Motorman for the MTA. During this time, Stanley met and married Guintine McGhee. From that union 2 children Omar Wynne and Delia Wynne were born. Stanley was a Motorman for the A-train for 30 yrs until his retirement in 1994. He received a plaque for years of service from the MTA. Stanley was a loving person. He leaves to mourn his son Omar Wynne(Bronx, NY), his daughter Delia Wynne (Mobile, AL), sister Elizabeth Piles of Jackson MS, brother James Wynne Jr. (Beatrice) of Bronx NY, sister Sonja Cumberbatch (Lester) of Bronx NY. His life partner of 35yrs Ruth White of Bronx, NY. His grandchildren Michael and Jonathan Lynch of Mobile AL, a host of nieces, nephews, and most loving relatives and friends.
