Sue (Nelson) Rich, age 78, of Gholson, passed away early Thursday morning, June 18, 2020 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Gholson Cemetery with Rev. James Stevens officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Sue was born July 9, 1941 in Wister, Oklahoma the daughter of Willie and Sybil (Heidel) Nelson. She was a 1959 graduate of University High School in Waco. On January 16, 1970 she was united in marriage to Jim Rich in Waco. Sue was a member of First Baptist Church in Gholson. She was a Senior Process Operator for M & M Mars Corporation in Waco for over 20 years before retiring in 1997. Sue enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, gambling and playing dominoes and "42". She loved making quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Birthday Club. Sue is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Missy Burns; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Rich; and a sister-in-law, Wendy Nelson. Survivors include beloved husband of 50 years, Jim Rich of Gholson; her children, Mike Roberts and wife Deanne of Waco, Jimmy Rich of Gholson, Brian Roberts and wife Lisa of Aquilla, Larry Rich of Hawaii, and Robyn Mills and husband Keith of Lorena; her brother, Wayne Nelson; her grandchildren, Samantha Drumm and husband Chris, Shannon Roberts, Holli McDow and husband Tim, Jason Rich and wife Clare, Brandon Roberts and wife Kimberly, Shawna Smith and husband David, Megan Price and husband Mark, Austin Mills, Courtney Dolezal and husband Larry, Kayla Burns, and Ashley Rich; 15 great grandchildren; her fur babies, Bo, Jake, and Miss Kitty; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gholson Cemetery Association. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Adam Falcone and Missy McCartney for love and care.
