With heavy hearts, sorrow, and anguish, we mourn the loss of our mother and wife on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. She battled lung cancer for nearly 2 years and was finally at peace, at home where she wanted to be with her family beside her. No word or words can suffice to encapsulate her worth in our lives; “a man never sees all that his mother has been to him until it’s too late to let her know that he sees it” (WD Howells) Denise Marie Gebhardt (Ricard) born 1945 in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan married Robert Gebhardt in 1968. They had two sons Colin (KaeLynn) and Darrell (Annette). They relocated to Eastend, SK in 1975 where the family has claimed home ever since. She adored her grandchildren; Jackson and Gavin were born in 2002 and 2004, followed by Abigail and Katherine in 2006 and 2008. Mom enjoyed working in the library, cooking for visiting family and friends and loved to spend her time at home tending to her garden and the relationships she grew as a member of the Eastend Garden Guild. She loved the scenic, spiritual, inspirational beauty of Southwest Saskatchewan. She was most content visiting with her family here in Eastend, especially her grandchildren. There will be no memorial service at this time due to Covid restrictions.
