<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">James Flavous Turner, Jr., passed away at his home in Leakesville on Thursday, June 18, 2020. He was born and raised in Greene County. Mr. Turner served in the United States Army in France. He was a crane operator for Murphy Oil for 26 years. He was an humble and kind man who worked hard and enjoyed life. His passion was his family and he was an avid deer hunter. He loved the outdoors. He was loved and will be greatly missed.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">He was preceded in death by his parents, James Flavous and Molly Ernestine Turner; and his sister, Virginia Thomas.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Left to cherish his memories are his family, Loretta and Scott Bray, Chancy Rogers, Weldon Rogers, Charly Williams, McKaylee Bray, Colin Bray, Tyler Bray, Gina and Doug Franklin, Jenah Holland, Robert and DeWanda Platt, Robin and Kent Haney, Eric Platt, Beth and Scotty Elmore, Dirk and Caitlin Turner; and many more nieces, nephews and friends.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">A Graveside Service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Platt Family Cemetery with Rev. Irvis Dale Everette and Rev. Mark Gilley officiating. Pall bearers will include; Robert Platt, Chancy Rogers, Weldon Rogers, Scotty Elmore, Dirk Turner, and Eric Platt. James Flavous Turner, Jr., passed away at his home in Leakesville on Thursday, June 18, 2020. He was born and raised in Greene County. Mr. Turner served in the United States Army in France. He was a crane operator for Murphy Oil for 26 years. He was an humble and kind man who worked hard and enjoyed life. His passion was his family and he was an avid deer hunter. He loved the outdoors.
