Elicia Rose Gibbs Obituary

Elicia Rose Mayle Gibbs

Obituary

February 15, 1983 -June 12, 2020

Elicia Rose Mayle Gibbs went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 12, 2020.  While we know that God’s time is always the right time, it seems to us far too early.

From her birth to 21–year old Tina Rose Jellel and Reason Mayle, Elicia was always full of energy, a little too much at times, and full of love.  We’ll all remember how caring and generous Elicia was to so many.

Her generous spirit made her popular among so many friends from her earliest days throughout her life.  Who knew that the boy she met at the skating rink in the 7th grade, Marcus Anthony Gibbs, would become the loving husband she would leave behind in these saddest of days.

We are brightened, however, at the memory of how much she loved us, and how we loved her!  Elicia loved and was loved by daughter Destiny Rose Mayle of whom she was so proud, and son Brian Michael Cooper, who kept her on her motherly toes!

Elicia also excelled as a little sister to big sister Missie Jellel-McAtee, taking seriously her responsibility to be annoying!  But love was always the sisterly bond they shared, and it spilled over to the next generation,    as Elicia enjoyed being the loving and much-loved aunt of John Barnhart II, Andrew Doubledee and CJ McAtee.

Elicia will be missed terribly by Grandmother Rosie Huelf, who gave her not only her middle name with which to start life, but also her resting place as she leaves this life to be with Jesus.

Elicia will also be missed by her loving and supportive step-father, Ric Marshall, who laid not only the floors she walked on but many foundations of stable love in her life.

Elicia’s brothers Reason Shane and Cory Mayle will miss her greatly, as will cousin Krystal Roy Hendricks.

Elicia was baptized into her public identity as a Christ-follower by Pastor Charlie Young at LifeHope Church, where his good friend Pastor Ray Jeske will eulogize her and preside over her home-going celebration to her eternal home with Jesus.

LifeHope Community Church is located at 7096 Hills & Dales Rd., Jackson Township, 44708.  Calling hours are 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2020, and the service will begin at 1 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you consider contributing to the gofundme account which you can find on her husband Marcus Gibbs’ FaceBook page.
