On June 6th, 2020, Charles East, beloved son, husband and father, took his rest after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. Charles East, a native of Mobile Alabama was born on the 17th of April in the year 1947 to Alexander and Ireater East. He attended elementary and junior high schools in the city of Mobile; but one of his fondest memories was being a student at Central High School and a member of the Central High School Marching 100 band. Charles was a proud Tennessee State University Alumni, graduating in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. He also studied towards a Graduate degree in Management Information Systems. After leaving Tennessee State, he began a career at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS, as a Process Engineer. After which, he worked for General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY, where he retired as a Lead Nuclear Quality Control Engineer. In 1990, Charles moved to Atlanta, GA, where he worked for Burlington Air Express as a Business System Manager. From 1992-2005, he started his own Computer Consultants company. Always a constant innovator, he moved on to a career as a Project Manager and Business Analyst Consultant, where he collaborated and shared is expertise with organization such as: The City of Atlanta, IBM, Michelin Tires, Kaiser Aluminum, and several insurance companies. Before finally retiring, Charles had the opportunity to work as a Senior Project Manager for Accenture, a fortune 500 multinational service company. Charles is preceded in death by his father Alexander East. He is survived by his mother Ireater East; his wife Mollie East; his sons, Shawn(Ashley) East and LeMawn East; his brother Michael (Bobbie) East; his aunt, Dorthey Bell; his uncle, Walter Bell, and a host of loving relatives and friends.
