Grace Studer

Grace Alice Studer age 93 years of Eastend, Saskatchewan died on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Gull Lake Special Care Centre at Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. She was born in the Skull Creek District on January 10, 1927. She attended Klintonel School and spent the winter of 1937 in Manitoba with her family. She married Orland Gilbert in November 1947 and they were blessed with five sons. They farmed on the North Bench with Grace and her sons later taking over the Studer farm. She lived in Lafleche, Saskatchewan for a few years in the 1970’s before returning to Eastend. Grace loved farming, driving tractors and milking cows. She was a hard worker and enjoyed getting dirty but also enjoyed dressing up. She stippled many ceilings and walls as well as installing flooring. She was strong and stubborn in her opinions. She was predeceased by her mother Myrl on October 26, 1960, her father Greg on March 6, 1972, husband Orland Gilbert on January 17, 1985, son Cliff on November 4, 2017, grandsons Jason Gilbert and Aaron Gilbert and her three brothers Calvin Studer, Cliff Studer and Bill Studer. She is survived by her son William Gilbert (Charolotte) and grandchildren Kevin (Sherry), Jodie Campbell (Mitch) and Kimberley Martin (Calum); her son Robert Gilbert (Leanne) and grandchildren Dale (Pam), Meagan and Lee (Martina); her son Calvin Gilbert; her son John Gilbert (Charlene) and grandchildren Carrie and Jeffrey (Rachel); daughter-in-law Liane Gilbert and grandchildren Kendra Fahselt (Aaron) and Robin Mokelki (Jody); 19 great grandchildren as well as by several nieces and nephews.
