Marvelle Virginia Hansen

Marvelle Virginia (Heier) Hansen 93 of Weeping Water Died June 9,2020 at her home.<br>Born May 6, 1927 in Louisville Nebraska to Emil Heier and Mildred (Hoover) Heier.<br>She attended Louisville Public School and graduated in the class of 1944. She taught a few years in rural schools. Marvelle and Emery Hansen were married on August 24, 1945 at Hiawatha Kansas. They lived, farmed and raised livestock east of Weeping Water for many years, Emery preceded her in death on October 26, 1987.<br>After retiring from farming, Marvelle held many volunteer jobs, helping with many local blood drives. She was a long time Pianist for the Avoca Congregational & Weeping Water Christian Church, she was the pianist of the Christian Church singers at area care facilities. She served as lay minister of the Avoca Church 2014-2015 and a long time leader for church services at the Louisville Care Center. Marvelle was a member of Weeping Water Congregational Church, Weeping Water Women's Club, a 25 year member of Extension Club, Nehawka Rebekah Lodge. She belonged to two Quilting groups helping to make many beautiful quilts for charity and enjoyed doing arts and crafts and the kinship shared.<br>She is survived by sister-in-law Frances Heier of Omaha <br>Nieces Sylvia (Dale) Snoke of Elmwood NE & Colleen (Dave) Zenisek of Eagle NE. cousins Mary and Jean Reinke<br>Many other cousins, friends and church family.<br>She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emery, brother William Heier, Nephew Alan Heier and several Cousins.<br>Tributes and condolences www.hammonsfs.com
