DORIS JEAN HEATH
Doris Jean Heath, 82, of Panama City, became another one of God's angels Sunday, May 17, 2020, after a very brave battle with ovarian cancer. She was born July 22, 1937 in Red, Bay, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents, G. E. and Robbie Lee Floyd; the love of her live for 39 years, Larry D. Heath; son, Larry R. Heath; and a brother, J. D. Floyd.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Heath and wife Debbie; daughter, Holli Ramsey and Husband Allen; grandchildren, Maygan Ingram and husband Brian, and Heath Ramsey and wife Amber; her great grandson Colten Ingram, who was the light of her life; her daughter-in-law, Deborah I. Heath; and her long-time companion, Marvin Kohler.
Doris worked for the Bay County Property Appraiser's Office for 20+ years. Aside from being the world's greatest Momma, she was blessed with many life-long friends and many new ones. She loved to fish, travel, garden, and loved to watch nature. She was fiercely independent right to the end. Doris fought a hard battle, and was a pure and true soul.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses at Hope Cancer Center who so gently took care of her; Melissa, Katie and Dawn and Dr. Tandon who fought very hard to make her well. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to the ALS (Lou Gehrig) Association.
Our hearts are broken, but Momma is at peace and out of pain now. We love you Momma.
