Herman L. (Whiz) Hays passed away from this life on April 30,2020. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 5th at 10:00 AM at the Duncan Cemetery, with Pastor Randy Southerland officiating. Services will be under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. <br>Whiz was born to Ada (Anderson) and John (Pete) Hays on October 24,1931, in Corum, Ok. Whiz loved basketball and helped to lead the Addington basketball team to the state championship in 1950. Whiz went on to marry Joy Rose on May 8, 1962 and together they raised five children. Whiz was an avid domino player and was tough to beat. Whiz was the patriarch of his family and had a large circle of friends. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.<br>Whiz is survived by sons Terry Hays, David Hays and wife Linda, Russell Hays and wife Tracy, daughters; Chrystal Giumentero and husband Steve, Mellany Roach and husband Terrell Page. His large family also includes , 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren , 5 great-great grandchildren, one brother; Carl (Cotton) and wife Mary , and two sisters ; Mary Riley and Hollene and husband Kenneth Powers. <br>He is preceeded in death by his wife Joy, his parents, step mother Lula, granddaughter Stephanie Standridge, two brothers; Delbert and Hershel and one sister; Oleta . <br>
