MR. GARY G. LOWTHER, AGE 80 Mr. Gary G. Lowther, age 80 of Robinson, IL passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday June 4, 2020. Born July 21, 1939 in Robinson, IL he was the son of Goodman L. “Goodie” and Anna J. (Buettemeyer) Lowther. He married Wanda L. (Carnes) and she survives. Gary served in the US Army from 1959 until 1961. In the 1960’s he was owner and operator of Lowther’s Grocery Store. He was a Crawford County Farmer for most of his life and he was a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Lowther, Robinson, IL; a stepson and spouse, Ken and Mari Sloan, Cleveland, OH; a step-daughter Cheryl Mitchell, Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Scott and Tracy Mitchell, Dallas, TX, Matt and Liz Mitchell, Carmel, IN, Bryan Mitchell, Indianapolis, IN, Kristen Sloan, Chicago, IL; great grandchildren, Madison Mitchell, Jack Mitchell, Ryan Mitchell and Charlie Mitchell; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Charles “Sonny” Musgrave, Hutsonville, IL along with nieces, Joey Rogers and Cara Bennett. Several cousins survive as well. Preceding him in death were his parents. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday June 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, IL with Rev. Jay Regennitter officiating. Military rites provided by the combined units of VFW Post #4549, Robinson, IL, E.M. Coulter Post #69, American Legion, Robinson, IL, Reavill Post #132, American Legion, Flat Rock, IL and the AMVETS Post #33. Online condolences at www.pulliamfuneralhomes.com.
