A Memorial Mass for Harvey Throener age 77 of West Point, NE will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with those in attendance being seated socially distanced. Interment will be in the St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting with the arrangements. Harvey passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 in West Point, NE. Harvey Frank Throener was born on January 27, 1943 in West Point, NE to Aloys and Frances (Faltin) Throener. He was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. Harvey graduated from Guardian Angels High School in 1961. Harvey farmed with his father near Snyder and Beemer, NE for many years. He also was employed at Smeal Manufacturing in Snyder and later worked for Blue Ox in Pender until he retired. Harvey also did carpentry work and built the home he was living in West Point. Harvey always could be found at the coffee shops in town. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents.
