<p>Richard O. Alviti&nbsp;74, of Johnston died peacefully on Wednesday June 3, 2020. He was the husband of Angela&nbsp;A. Alviti.</p> <p>Born in Providence in October 11,1945. He was the son of late Italo&nbsp;and Elena (Mariano) Alviti of Narraganset.</p> <p>He leaves two sons, Richard J. Alviti and his wife Barbara of Cranston, Michael J. Alviti and his wife Pamela of Johnston and was the proud grandfather of Brian A. Alviti of Cranston and Abigail E. Alviti of Johnston.&nbsp; He is also survived by his&nbsp;sister Bernice (Alviti) Giramma and her husband John of Florida.&nbsp; He was the brother of the late Linda Alviti.</p> <p>He was the scout master of Troop 22 in Cranston for many years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Richard graduated from Cranston High School East and Roger Williams University. He also served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at ITT Grinnell as a Mechanical Engineer for over 20 years.</p> <p>Funeral services and burial will be private.&nbsp; Donations in his memory can be made to St. Mary&#39;s Church Food Bank in Cranston.</p>

Richard O. Alviti 74, of Johnston died peacefully on Wednesday June 3, 2020. He was the husband of Angela A. Alviti.

Born in Providence in October 11,1945. He was the son of late Italo and Elena (Mariano) Alviti of Narraganset.

He leaves two sons, Richard J. Alviti and his wife Barbara of Cranston, Michael J. Alviti and his wife Pamela of Johnston and was the proud grandfather of Brian A. Alviti of Cranston and Abigail E. Alviti of Johnston.  He is also survived by his sister Bernice (Alviti) Giramma and her husband John of Florida.  He was the brother of the late Linda Alviti.

He was the scout master of Troop 22 in Cranston for many years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Richard graduated from Cranston High School East and Roger Williams University. He also served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at ITT Grinnell as a Mechanical Engineer for over 20 years.

Funeral services and burial will be private.  Donations in his memory can be made to St. Mary's Church Food Bank in Cranston.
