Sara Rose Haston Pikeville, Tennessee Obituary

Sara Rose Haston

Sara Rose Haston, age 72 of Pikeville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her home while holding the hand of her loving husband of fifty five wonderful years, Richard Alan Haston, after her long battle of cancer and other ailments. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her wisdom, love and memory will live on for many generations. Sara was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. Preceding Sara in death were her loving parents, Melvin Glenn and Jenna Mae Harvison of New Iberia, La. Sara will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Richard Alan Haston; four children, Richard Alan (Liz) Haston, Jr., Elizabeth (Aaron) Guilbeau, Tonya Lea Gilbert, and Robert Glenn Haston; sisters, Teresa Latiolais and Melissa Latiolais of New Iberia, La.; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Jennifer, Charli, Ashley, Ej, Justin, Matthew, and Sydney, as well as thirteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends that will miss her tremendously. The family extends gratitude to the many hospice nurses, caregivers, doctors, special friends Mike and Jennifer Musgrave, and everyone that compassionately cared for Sara and her husband for many years. It was Sara’s wish to be cremated with a “no Fuss” memorial service for the close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family ask to be lifted up in prayer and a random act of kindness be given to a stranger in Sara’s honor. Condolences can be made at www.pikevillefuneralhome.com. Pikeville Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
