Casey Joe Owens Woodward, Oklahoma Obituary

Casey Joe Owens

Casey Joe Owens of Fargo, Oklahoma, was born October 8, 1982 in Clinton Oklahoma to Joe and Twila Owens. He grew up in Woodward and attended Woodward Schools, graduating in 2002. Casey was united in marriage to Tessa Forrest on July 10, 2013. The couple made their home in Fargo, Oklahoma. From this union came two amazing little girls, Charlie Fae, age 11, and Stevie Joe, age 6. Tessa and the girls were the love of his life. Casey was a wonderful man who lived life to its fullest. He enjoyed spending any spare time with his daughters, helping coach his youngest in soccer, teaching both girls to play dominos, and attending various dance competitions around the region for the oldest. He was sure to instill the best things life had to offer for his children and made a very comfortable life for his family. He enjoyed anything fast, living life on the edge. He was a very sharp minded man who could do anything and was always up for a project. Such a wonderful man had such wonderful friends in return. He would tell stories of the wild life he and his friends lived and had the biggest smile every time. Casey loved to play darts, get tattoos, listen to heavy metal music (the louder the better), learning new things, playing Texas Hold’em poker, shooting guns, sushi, his awesome beard, and the color green. Of all these things he loved his family the most.
Casey was an oilfield man, working for various companies throughout his life such as Waste Energy Technology, Case Wireline, and eventually settling in to invest his skills at Renegade Wireline Services where he worked for many years. He was a jack of all trades in his field but his official title was Wireline Engineer at Renegade Wireline Services. As strange as it sounds he was one of the rare people that actually loved his job. He was skilled at working with explosives and took so much pride in his work. His coworkers were his second family and miss him dearly.
Casey was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He lost his life very abruptly June 2, 2020 at his home in Fargo with his wife by his side. He will be sorely missed. He was taken from this world too soon.
Casey is survived by his wife, Tessa Owens, and two daughters, Charlie Fae Owens and Stevie Jo Owens, all of Fargo, Oklahoma, his parents, Twila and Joe Owens of Woodward, Oklahoma, mother in law Sammye Forrest of Woodward, sister Alyssa Devine and husband Dillon Devine, nieces Jodi Devine and Rylie Devine, nephew Miles Devine, all of Woodward, sister in law Shea Duff of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brother in law Sam Forkner and Lindsay, brother in law Marshall Forkner of Paul’s Valley, and many aunts and uncles.
Casey is proceeded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and uncle Keith Thornhill.
Services for Casey will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Billings Funeral Home Chapel.
Casey was one of the best dudes I knew, he always had a way to make you laugh and sometimes cringe. Some of the best times in my life where with him and our group whether it was concerts or a party or terrorizing Woodward we always did it right. Definitely gonna miss you... Continue Reading
