<p><br /> Wes Watson, age 88 passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 at his home in Garvin, OK. He was born on October 4, 1931 in Idabel, OK to John Wesley Watson and Bessie Powell Watson. Wes married his wife Earlene in Idabel, OK on June 20, 1954.&nbsp;</p> <p>Wes was retired from the US Postal Service. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served during Korea. Wes was a rancher, his specialty being raising longhorn cattle. He was also known for being one of the best around at shoeing horses. Wes was a hard worker and a real cowboy.</p> <p>Wes was a devout Christian and a member of the Mt Zion Church of God. He was a Mason and a member of the Idabel Lodge #264. Wes was a member of the McCurtain Camp of the Gideons, International Longhorn Breeders and the Paint Horse Association.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents.</p> <p>Wes is survived by his wife, Earlene of the home; his daughter, Lisa Watson of Garvin, OK; sons, Wesley Watson of Garvin, OK and Flint Watson of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Aaron Carlile and Scott, Laramie &quot;Trixie&quot; Houston and Cody and Dekota Harrison and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Brody Carlile, Pistol Houston and Pepper Houston; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.</p> <p>Due to the Covid 19 restrictions his funeral service will be limited in attendance. The family appreciates your love, prayers and understanding during this unusually difficult time.</p> <p>The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the funeral home. Due to concerns regarding the Covid 19 we will be asking that attendees help us in following the guidelines on capacity and social distancing.&nbsp;</p> <p>&quot;PUT GOD FIRST &amp; WHEN YOU GET TO HEAVEN BE LOTS OF FOLKS AROUND THE GATE. Wes Watson, age 88 passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 at his home in Garvin, OK. He was born on October 4, 1931 in Idabel, OK to John Wesley Watson and Bessie Powell Watson. Wes married his wife Earlene in Idabel, OK on June 20, 1954.

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions his funeral service will be limited in attendance. The family appreciates your love, prayers and understanding during this unusually difficult time.
