Yvonne Norisa Post, R. N., 94, of Stevensville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 1, 2020 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville. “He will give you victory. On May 16, 1948 she married Duane Post. Yvonne graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1942 at the age of 16 years old. In 1946 she graduated from Wayne State University of Nursing, under the Cadet Nursing program. She began & ended her nursing career at Mercy, Memorial, and Lakeland Hospitals. Yvonne retired at the age of 84 after 55 plus years as House Supervisor. She loved her “Hospital Family”. Until her dying days, just the mention of how to start an IV would make her eyes sparkle. Yvonne is survived by her children: Ted (Diana) Post, Jill Post, Diane (Gil) Rau. Her beloved Grandchildren: Tara (Jed) Reinhardt and Doug (Sarah) Rau. Her deeply loved Great-grandchildren: Jaxon & Avery Reinhardt, Luke, Jordan, Adrianna, and Josiah Rau. Brothers: Pat (Shirley) Poziwilko, Gene (Linda) Poziwilko, Dan Poziwilko and sister-in-laws JoAnn Poziwilko and Donna Klug. Her devoted friend P.J.Reynolds. And her faithful cat Charlie. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, in 1986. Brothers: Donald and Robert Poziwilko. The family truly appreciates the dedicated & compassionate care given to Yvonne by the entire staff of the Hanson Hospice Center.
