Judith K. Dewey

Judith Kae Dewey, age 82, passed away on June 1, 2020.  Judith was born on July 4, 1937 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Clare and Leona (Rambow) Jacoby.  Judith has loved horses all of her life.  She boarded and bred them for many years and was a 4H leader.  She was a dedicated member of the Eastern Stars and baked many butterscotch pies for the Masonic Lodge meetings in Hickory Corners.  She was a school bus driver for Gull Lake for thirty years. Judith was an avid gardener, loved spending time with friends at the Hickory Corners American Legion, and owned a wedding cake business for many years. Judith is survived by sons: Kirk (Patricia L.) Dewey and Todd (Bonnie) Dewey, daughter: Pam (Eugene Newell) Dewey; grandchildren: Nicole, Brooke, Lindsay, and Saydee; and five great grandchildren.  Judith was preceded in death by her parents; infant son: Patrick Dewey; and sister: Cleo Mae Hammer.  Judith’s graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, June 6, 2020, 11:00 AM at East Hickory Corners Cemetery, and the service will also be available via live stream on the funeral home’s website.  Memorial contributions to <a href=https://www.kindredhealthcare.com/locations/hospice/portage-mi-49024ska>Kindred Hospice</a> will be appreciated.  Please visit www.williamsgoresfuneral.com to view the live stream, share a memory, or to leave a condolence message for Judith’s family. <a href=https://www.facebook.com/goresfuneral/>Click here to view the live stream at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 6, 2020.</a>
