CUNNINGHAM, Margaret Bell. - of Waterford, age 94, died Sunday, May 31, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family. Margaret was born March 7, 1926 in Haralson County, Alabama to the late Raymer and Esther (Wright) Jeffers. She was raised in Alabama and started her work in retail sales in department stores as a teenager, working in that field for more than 60 years. Margaret married Grover Cleveland Cunningham Jr.. He preceded her in death in April, 19, 1991. Margaret attended Protestant churches, enjoyed social events and bowling. A very independent person, she enjoyed her time at work but was also a homebody that loved gardening, yard work and keeping her home up. Margaret loved her family, her grandchildren and very much enjoyed her great-grandchildren. Surviving are: Son, Danny Gene Cunningham of Waterford; grandchildren: Maria Mason and Jesse Cunningham, great-grandchildren; Michael Mason and Austin Torres, and several nieces and nephews; Sister, Reba Jane Allison Hartwick; Brother, William Harvey Jeffers. She was preceded in death by: Sisters: Virginia Dare Brock, Alice Phillips, Hellen Higdon Hooper; Brother, Charles Jeffers.
