Benjamin Eugene Wagner, 88, of Greeley passed away at his daughter’s home in Texas. He was born November 9, 1931 in Holly, Colorado to Adam and Charlotte Wagner. Benjamin graduated from Windsor High School in 1950 and then married Betty Lou Mayes on November 6, 1957 in Windsor. As a member of the U.S. Navy, Benjamin served his country from November 27, 1950 until September 22, 1954 during the Korean Conflict when he was honorably discharged. He returned home and began working as an auto mechanic. He was a member of the U.S. Navy Destroyer Veterans and enjoyed model building. Survivors include his daughters; Jeannie (Elmer) Ley, Debara (Donald) Held; son, Benjamin (Jenise) Wagner; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, Alfred. Benjamin’s Life Celebration will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
