<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>John Earl Dillon, age 80, of Prestonsburg, KY,&nbsp;husband over sixty years of Alma Sue Shepherd Dillon, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. He was born November 6, 1939 in Banner, KY, a son of the late John Cameron and Flaria Carr Dillon. He was a retired superintendent for Arch Coal Company and a member of the Community United Methodist Church.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to his wife Sue, he is survived by two sons: Gregory Earl (Diana) Dillon, Lexington, KY, Tommy K. (Connie) Dillon, Prestonsburg, KY, two brothers; Winston (Draxie) Dillon and Donald Lee (Chiquita) Dillon both of Prestonsburg, one sister; Shirley Ann (John) Maynard, Prestonsburg, three grandchildren; John Chandler Dillon, Emily Suzanne Dillon and Niko Timothy Landers Dillon.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Joe David Dillon and one sister; Wanda Lou George.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral service for John Earl will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 31 at the Community United Methodist Church with John Carwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY. Visitation is from 5 &ndash; 8 pm on Saturday at the church.</p>
