Kent C. Hoffman

Kent C. Hoffman, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Kent was born in Baltimore MD, January 1, 1948. He attended St Paul’s School and later graduated from Susquehanna University with a degree in Physics. Kent is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Hoffman; three daughters, Jennifer Hahn, Julie Bell, Allison Decker; and seven grandchildren Kylie, Alyssa, Emily, Molly, Riley, Mason and Reagan. Kent spent his childhood days as a camper and counselor at Shaw-Mi-Del-Eca in West Virginia. He ran the camp radio station and loved to hike and tube down the Greenbriar River. Kent was an avid physicist, was the chairman of the Medical Technology Policy Committee in Washington D.C., and served as the Vice President of Research and Development of Regulatory Affairs. Kent has 8 patents and was in the process of working on a new project, that would identify disease within the eye. After Kent’s retirement from Bionicare, he and Nancy moved to Millsboro, DE in 2010. They spent their last 10 years traveling, exploring trails and visiting with family and friends. Kent took extreme pride in his seven grandchildren for whom he would take on bike rides and nature walks. Kent’s contagious smile and spirit will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
