James Kemmis Adcox Obituary

James Kemmis  Adcox  passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020. He was 87 years old.

Mr. Adcox was born in White Oak, MS and had been a resident of Hermanville, MS for over 40 years. He was a member of Hermanville Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He was a devout Christian who loved his family very much. he was preceded in death by a son David Martin; parents William Warren and Lizzie Adcock; siblings Lamar Adcock, Lennis Adcock, Norman Adcock, L.D. Adcock, Leonard Adcock and Ina Jean Thornton.

He is survived by a son Michael Adcox (Rhonda); daughters Melissa Bufkin (Ken), Kathy Abraham (Matthew), Kemberly Adcox, Debra Bufkin (Jackie), Penny Woods (Michal), Judy Willingham, and Betty Davis; brothers Bartley Adcock, Ernest Adcock, Johnnie Paul Adcock, and Prentis Adcock; 23 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2020 at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson, MS from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.  with services in the chapel at 11:00A.M. Bro. Greg Clemts will be officiating. Burial will follow at Hermanville Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 39105-1942.
